Matthew Curtis and Ian Murphy QC of Farrar’s Building successfully prosecuted Melanie Smith at Mold Crown Court. After a three week trial Melanie Smith was convicted of 5 counts of murder arising out of a fire deliberately set in her home in Prestatyn, North Wales. The case was covered widely by the press.
