The Legal 500 UK Bar 2022 edition was released 29th September 2021. Linenhall Chambers have been included at the highest level of work across a range of legal disciplines including; family, crime, personal injury and chancery. Linenhall are the only barristers chambers ranked in the guide for the Wales & Chester circuit on the English side of the border, illustrating their dominance in Chester, North and Mid Wales.
The independent guide to the UK’s top sets of barristers chambers, known in the industry as the definitive guide to lawyers, analyses law firms in over 150 jurisdictions from across the world. It only awards legal professionals who have completed a rigorous benchmarking process including interviews and feedback from both clients and professional peers. Feedback from clients and peers included, ‘an excellent and reliable set’ and ‘the backbone of Chester’.
The latest edition of the guide ranked Linenhall in the top tier for family work with three barristers, Daniel Dodd, Sarah Morgan and Nicholas Sefton also ranked in the top tier for their work for both public and private cases. Kathryn Anslow also ranked in tier two and two further juniors, Clare Bate and Hannah Horton included as Rising Stars. The team has received incredibly high levels of recognition this year.
We also achieved a tier two ranking for both crime and personal injury at set level, with seven barristers ranked for crime, including a coveted tier one ranking for the ‘first class’ and ‘outstanding’ Anna Pope, and a further four for personal injury. Richard Mullan was also ranked in tier one for Chancery work.
Commenting on the achievement, Gavin Wright, Chambers Director, said: “A huge thank you to our clients and other professional contacts who took the time and trouble to provide their feedback to the Legal 500 researchers and share their stories of how our legal specialists have made a difference. Given how tough 2020 was, the depth of our relationships with our clients and other members of the legal profession was more important than ever, as we helped them to navigate through unprecedented times. Their contribution to the research process illustrates the value they place on our relationships and endorses our legal capabilities and commitment to helping and supporting our clients holistically. Without these endorsements, the rankings would not be possible, so we are incredibly grateful.”
Gavin Wright went on to say: “While the Legal 500 has singled out some specific individuals, this accolade is for the entire Linenhall family and we were delighted to see members of our clerking team achieve recognition for their very high levels of client service as well. During a challenging 18 months, our people have shown resilience and a determination to continue to provide access to justice for their clients. I am proud and delighted they have received this recognition after all their hard work.”
