Colin Milburn has been sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 20 years after he bludgeoned his partner (Buddug Jones) to death with a weapon (most likely a hammer) whilst she slept. After the killing Milburn went to work and then reported it to the Police later when he returned home. His Honour Judge Rowlands said Milburn had been consumed “by false accusations of infidelity on her part”. The Judge described Milburn as a compulsive liar who carried out the brutal assault “on a woman known as loving, kind, warm and doting grandmother.”
Milburn denied the charge but was found guilty after a 4-week trial at Caernarfon Crown Court in November 2022.
