A night out in Chester for two Zimbabwean students resulted in their arrest and an eight day trial at Chester Crown Court. The two were accused of having forcibly had sex with two fifteen year old girls. There was no dispute that the girls had claimed to be older, the issue was consent. The retrieval of several text messages between the defendants and the girls proved crucial in securing their acquittal on the 14th November2012. Both young men publically thanked Gareth Roberts and Owen Edwards for their work on the case.
