Anna Price prosecuted the case of Brian Royston who has been jailed for 3 years for attempting to incite a child, whom he had been communicating with online, to engage in sexual activity.
He had arranged to meet 13-year-old “Lily Smith” at a Cheshire Railway station and to stay with her for the weekend whilst her Mum was away. Unbeknownst to him, the online profile was a decoy set up by members of the Elusive Child Protection Unit who confronted him at the station. Royston arrived at the station with a bag containing Viagra, condoms, lager, and a necklace he had bought as a gift for Lily. The Police were informed, and he was arrested.
