INTRODUCTION
Brett’s practice covers both civil and criminal litigation. He enjoys a broad civil practice with particular interest in employment law matters, personal injury, landlord and tenant, probate and inheritance actions, clinical and professional negligence and private land law matters.
His criminal practice includes serious violence and drug related crime.

All aspects of Crown Court work including drug conspiracy and violence, sexual offences and proceeds of crime. Brett is a grade 3 prosecutor.
Personal Injury Law Specialisms
Fast track and multi track RTAs, employer liability, public law, dangerous animals, fast and efficient turnover of paperwork. Particular interest in defence fraud work, LVI and credit hire.
Notable case: Airbus Operations Ltd & QBE Insurance Co (UK) v Adam Roberts [2012] EWHC 3631 (Admin); defending a private prosecution for contempt in the High Court.
Commercial Law Specialisms
General commercial and chancery work, commercial fraud, sale of goods/product liability, building disputes, landlord tenant for local authorities, housing associations and private landlords. Land registration and adverse possession. Wills and probate. Inheritance Act and TLATA claims.
