R V TW [2020] Simon was led by David Elias QC in defending a man who had killed a pensioner with a crossbow.
R v BF [2019] Simon was led by David Elias QC in defending a man charged with Gross Negligence Manslaughter. A firearm was discharged in a vehicle killing a man in the rear of the vehicle. The defendant was acquitted of Gross Negligence Manslaughter. The defendant had been convicted of a firearms offence at an earlier trial.
R v NR [2019]. Simon appeared on behalf of a man charged with attempted murder following the repeated stabbing of a man. The defendant was acquitted of attempted murder but was convicted of wounding with intent.
R v SM [2019]; Simon was led by Patrick Harrington QC in the defence of a mother charged with Gross Negligence Manslaughter following the death of her daughter.
Operation Emboss [2018]; Simon appeared on behalf of a Defendant charged with importing cannabis from Holland. He was acquitted following a 5 week trial in Birmingham Crown Court.
R v LB [2018]; Simon appeared on behalf of a tattoo artist charged with sexually assaulting a customer. He was acquitted following trial.
R v PS [2018]; Simon appeared on behalf of a Defendant charged with the historic sexual abuse of his friend’s daughter. He was acquitted following trial.
R v B [2017]; Simon appeared on behalf of a Defendant charged with the historic rape and serious sexual abuse of two sisters. He was acquitted following trial.
R v GF [2017]; Simon appeared on behalf of a Defendant charged with the attempted rape of a blind woman in her home. He was acquitted following trial.
Munkley and Roberts [2015]; Simon was led by Andrew Thomas QC in the successful conviction of 2 men for murder involving the use of a knife and a crossbow.
Operation Measure [2015]; Simon appeared on behalf of one of the Defendants in a large scale drug conspiracy to supply Class A drugs in North Wales.
Operation Sift [2015]; Simon appeared on behalf of one of the Defendants in a large scale drug conspiracy to supply Class A drugs into Telford.
Operation Valgus [2013]; Simon was led by Patrick Harrington QC and Ben Douglas-Jones in prosecuting the largest mortgage fraud ever investigated in England and Wales.
Operation Justice [2012]; Simon appeared on behalf of one of the Defendants in a large scale drug conspiracy to supply Class A drugs into North Wales.
