Max joined chambers in November 2021 having practiced as a Solicitor for over 20 years. He was previously a partner/director in two award winning, Legal 500 practices in Manchester.

Having practiced as a Higher Court Advocate for 15 years, Max brings to Chambers a wealth of experience in defending the whole range of cases in the Crown Court. He has been led in murder trials as well as representing Defendants in serious sex and drugs conspiracies. He has appeared in the Court of Appeal on several occasions in appeals against conviction and sentence as well as Attorney General References

He has also delivered accredited lectures/seminars in relation to sex offences/offenders for the purposes of CPD.

Having previously practiced as a solicitor he understands the expectations and demands of the professional client and brings to the Bar a high degree of comprehension and understanding when dealing with the lay client.
