Jade has a mixed practice with a focus on criminal law. She joined chambers in September 2015, following successful completion of pupillage under the supervision of Siôn ap Mihangel.

As a fluent Welsh speaker, Jade is able to accept instructions and conduct conferences and hearings in Welsh.

Jade enjoys a busy criminal practice, accepting both prosecution and defence instructions in the Crown and Youth Courts. She is a Category 3 prosecutor.

Jade has quickly developed a reputation for thorough case preparation and attention to detail. She prosecutes and defends a wide range of criminal matters but her analytical approach to her work lends itself especially well to fraud and regulatory work and Proceeds of Crime Act proceedings.

Jade has developed a strong practice in these areas both defending them and prosecuting on behalf of the CPS, local police forces, and local authorities. For example, Jade has been Cheshire Police’s counsel of choice for all contested forfeiture hearings and appeals for a number of years. Her work for local authorities has encompassed Trading Standards, health and safety regulations, EU food hygiene regulations, and unlawful evictions.

Jade’s recent defence work includes defending rape and serious sexual offences, stalking, fraud and money laundering offences, drug trafficking offences, weapons offences, and serious assaults.
