Selda completed pupillage under the supervision of Michael Whitty and became a member of chambers in 2025. 

Selda practises in crime and family law.

She accepts instructions to prosecute and defend in all areas of criminal practice in the Magistrates’, Youth and Crown Courts. She acts as a Case Presenter for the NMC.

Selda has represented clients in public and private family law cases. She accepts instructions involving child arrangements orders, non-molestation orders, occupation orders and financial remedy orders.

Prior to pupillage, Selda worked for ARB and ACCA, where she gained experience in a range of cases in professional discipline and regulatory law. She was previously a Screening Committee member at the British Psychoanalytic Council.

Selda has completed the Bar Council approved vulnerable witness training.

She has completed the YJLC’s Youth Justice Training for Lawyers.
