Some members of the Linenhall family team are appointed as Deputy District Judges and are approved to hear public and private law children cases, reflecting the level of experience held within the team and adding greater depth to their work on behalf of clients.

Linenhall’s family team have high levels of experience and understanding of the judicial system in Wales as well as in England and the team includes a number of Welsh speakers able to conduct cases in Welsh.
The team frequently provides early neutral evaluations where they are jointly instructed by both parties in the dispute to help facilitate the early settlement of claims or the resolution of specific issues.
Additionally, the team has high levels of experience in relation to financial remedy in an agricultural context, providing advice and representation for farming and other agricultural clients. Our barristers utilise their familiarity with the culture and context of financial disputes in agricultural families to help clients to achieve the best outcome to their case. They understand the complexity of the division of assets in the agricultural sector and can apply specialist knowledge where needed, for example in relation to proprietary estoppel.
Additionally, Linenhall’s team of family barristers works closely with our civil law barristers to provide advice and representation in relation to Trusts of Land (Tolata) issues arising from family law cases. They also have specialist experience in relation to inheritance act claims and Schedule 1 applications.
