Mediation & ADR
Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution and consensual process aimed at helping parties resolve their disputes and differences, through the guidance and support of a trained and independent professional, whether or not subject to court or any other form of proceedings.
Mediation is now very well established as one of the key legal options available to clients who find themselves in a dispute. It is actively encouraged by courts who look with favour on those who have attempted to resolve their dispute through mediation.
Mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution are frequently used to help clients to reach an agreement whilst avoiding the formality of Court proceedings and driving time and cost efficiencies in reaching an agreement.
Linenhall Chambers has a team of deeply experienced, qualified and accredited mediators who provide a high quality, professional mediation service and have a wide range of mediation and other alternative dispute resolution experience including in relation to commercial/chancery law, property disputes (commercial and residential), employment and personal injury.
Our mediators have helped clients where significant financial implications arise from the dispute or where no finances are involved but the implications of the dispute are still significant. Our barristers use their mediation expertise in both single party and multi-party disputes including in relation to employment, property, debt recovery, contractual and other commercial agreements.
Linenhall Chambers benefits from well-appointed offices in the centre of Chester, close to easily accessible parking, where we are able to host mediation meetings in a comfortable but professional environment so that clients stress levels are minimised and they can concentrate on achieving the result they want.
