Owen Edwards, leading Matthew Corbett-Jones, successfully prosecuted the former head of Humberside CID in a six week trial at Manchester Crown Court.

Colin Andrews a retired Detective Chief Superintendent and Manager of the Criminal Justice Unit at Humberside Police was convicted of four counts reflecting a campaign of harassment against two women. Several senior officers were called in a trial in which the defendant in essence suggested that he was the victim of a witch hunt. The defendant was convicted of aggravated stalking, harassment, assault and witness intimidation. Sentencing the defendant to imprisonment Mrs Justice Patterson said that he had abused the trust placed in him by the public and that his behaviour had at times been delusional. His conduct had a profound and lasting effect on the lives of his victims.
