Anna Pope of Linenhall Chambers represented a 32 year old female with the mental age of a 5 year old. The Defendant was alleged to have caused life threatening injuries to her mother, by stabbing her to the neck and head with a kitchen knife. After protracted proceedings and legal arguments, the Prosecution conceded that it was no longer in the public interest to continue, offered no evidence, and the Defendant was found not guilty of the offence.
