63 years imprisonment for child kidnapping gang over satanic abuse fears.

Anna Pope and Ember-Jade Wong prosecuted the case of Wilfred Wong and others, who were recently convicted of conspiracy to kidnap. The gang was represented by several members of the criminal team including Duncan Bould, Nicholas Williams, Richard Edwards and Elen Owen. They carefully planned the kidnapping over several months. This involved the use of burner phones, hire cars, passports, false plates and a coded system of communication.  On 4th November 2020, the child was snatched at knifepoint from their foster carer in Anglesey.  Months of planning unravelled  in a few hours, thanks to the quick action of North Wales Police. Within 4 hours the vehicle containing the child was tracked and stopped on the M1 in Northamptonshire . Sarah Badrawy successfully prosecutes two men for Rape and Indecent Assault which happened 30 years ago

Steven Booker was 15 when he raped a 13-year old girl in Rhyl in the summer of 1990.  His co-accused, Nicholas Roberts was convicted of indecently assaulting the same girl.  The victim, who has lifelong anonymity to protect her identity, had the bravery to come forward and report the offence years later. Simon Mintz and Ffion Tomos act in case of former swimming coach jailed for sex assaults on children.

A former swimming coach from Welshpool has been jailed for 9 years after sexually assaulting 3 children and possessing indecent images.  He was convicted following a 5-day trial at Mold Crown Court in July.  His claims that his electronic devices were hacked were not believed by the jury. Kate Meredith-Jones Appointment as a Judge of the First Tier Tribunal

Linenhall Chambers are delighted to announce that Kate Meredith-Jones has been appointed as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal by the Senior President of Tribunals, the Right Honourable Sir Keith Lindblom. The Senior President of Tribunals has assigned her to the Health, Education and Social Care Chamber to exercise the Mental Health Jurisdiction within that Chamber, with effect from 17 May 2021. Background Information Kate Meredith Jones will be known as Tribunal Judge Meredith-Jones. Kate was called to the Bar  in 2003 and has practised as a barrister in Chester since 2005 having undertaken her pupillage in Sedan House Chambers. Kate undertook a LLM focused on Mental Health and Human Rights. She was appointed as a fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal assigned to the Health, Education and Social Care Chamber in 2019.
